HOMING PIGEONS.
The Petone Homing Pigeon Club held a race last Saturday from 'Helensville, 31S miles. The birds had a head wind to face and did not put up very fast times. Results were:—JH. Hall's r.c.c. Redstone (988.3 yds per minute) ( 1; H. Hall's b.c.c. Bluestone (988.2), 2; C. Culshaw's b.c.c. First Up (987.4), 3; P. Mexted's b.c.c. No. 86, 192G (984.9), 4; C. Carter's b.c.c. Rascal (957.6), 5; W. Asplet's b.c.c. No. 4G,v1927 (934.7),. 6. The next race-will be flown from Wliangarei.
