At a meeting of tho Board of the Portobollo Marino Fisheries Investigatioa Station it was decided to appoint Mr. David H. Graham to tho position of biologist, telegraphs "Tho Post's" Duuodin correspondent. Mr. Graham has for throe years been conducting mosquito research in Auckland with excellent results, and his work is practically completed. Ho will commence his .duties here on Ist January.

Mason, -who for the last three years has occupied tho position/ of assistant-engineer to the Otago Harbour Board, has been appointed engineer to the Bluff Harbour Board, in succession to Mr. R. A. Adams, who has resigned. Mr. Mason was educated at Dunedin at the Otago Boys' High School, and after leaving school was employed for two years with the engineering firm of Sparrows, Ltd., and for one year with Anderson, Ltd., of Lyttolton.' He served in tho war for three years, and on returning to New Zealand to6k employment with the New Plymouth firm of Blair, Mason, Lee, and Owen. 'He joined the engineering staff of the Otago Harbour Board eight years ago, and since 1926 has occupied the position of assistant-engineer.
