WELLINGTON TROTTING CLUB
Everything is now in order at the Hutt Park for sthe Spring Meeting of the Wellington Trotting Club, which will be held on Saturday. The official opening of the new track and grandstand will take place at noon in the bird-cage. The ceremony will be performed by the Hon. T. M. Wilf ord, K.C. (member for the district), and the Hon. P. A. do la. Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs. The trotting meetings held in ' various centres on Saturday last and Labour Day have indicated the form of a number of the horses that will be competing atr the Hutt Park on Saturday. Public fancies are likely to take a wide range in the various events. The club is preparing for a considerably increased totalisator turnover, and with the increased accommodation and enlarged staff the public will be well catered for in this respect. The Eailway Department notifies a special race train service right to the course in addition to a special motor-bus Borvice. It only requires a fine day for" the club to create a new record for trotting in this, centre. • ■'■
