MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Td-day's sitting of . the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. E. Page, S.M. • Two first offenders for drunkenness were fined 10s each, the amount of the bails. Hi_ second statutory offence 'ot drunkenness cost Joshua Ede £1. A young woman, whose name was ordered to be suppressed, pleaded guilty to stealing a frock and a hot water bag, worth £1 ss.' Chief-Detective Lopdell said that the accused had taken the articles when she left the Kensington maternity home. The accused was admitted to probation for twelve months.
