PROMISING SWIMMER
(By Telegraph.)
(Special to "The Evening Pott.") DUNEDIN, This Day.
A feature of the Normal School swimming carnival was the swimming of the eleven-years-old Nancy Olds, sister of "Buster" Olds. When quite a little tot, Nancy showed remarkable promise in the water, but on her return from America last year she was unable to swim owing to ill health. She won several championships and handicap events this week and also the championship dive. Swimming with a fine free stroke, she was a bit short of practice, but if she remains in the Dominion it should not be very long before she is well to the fore in the junior girls' competitions.
