BEQUEST TO GIRL

HAMILTON, This Day.
A romance surrounds the bequest of £4000 received by "Bubbles" Jenkinson, the fifteen-year-old daughter of Mi. S. J. Jenkinson, of Hamilton, under the will of the late "W. B. Carmiehael, of Sydney, the well-known newsprint merchant. Mr. Carmiehael thirteen years, ago met a little girl of three years when she was visiting her grandmother in Auckland. He took a, great liking to the child, and whenever he visited New Zealand he showed .art affectionate interest. For years the old gentleman and the" little girl exchanged letters arid photographs. "When he died recently he left her & 4000 on condition that the money was held' in trust until the beneficiary was 21 years of age. • • ■
