NOTICE is hereby given that it is the ■" intention of the Wellingtan- City Council to apply to the Hon. Minister of Internal Affairs for his provisional approval to the inclusion of clauses in the Local Legislation Bill during the present Session of Parliament. ■ The objects of the proposed clauses'are as follows:— • (a) To empower the Governors of the Wellington College and Girls' High School to transfer or convey to the Wellington City Council such portion of the Wellington College Bite as may by agreement between the said Governors and City Council be considered necessary to constitute and to safeguard the western approach through Patterson street to the Eastern Suburbs Tunnel and to require the said Council in consideration thereof to 'carry out such improvements to the adjacent land vested in the said Governors being other part of the said Wellington College, site as may be agreed upon between the City Council and the Governors and approved by the Minister of Education. - ■ -■■•..-. (b) To empower the Wellington- City Council to take for the purpose of a new street to connect Patterson street-with any other street constructed on the Town Belt on the eastern side o£ Mount Victoria so much of the sub-stratum of the Town Belt as shall be necessary for the construction of such new street by way of tunnel through the Town Belt and. to make any area so taken street under the provisions of The Municipal Corporations Act 1920 and to yest the same in the Corporation accordingly; •_ Any person or persons desirous of oT»----ieetins to the proposed legislation should lodge objections with the Hon.
