TIRANGI ROAD, EVANS BAY

Sir,—l have been a resident for *6sne time m Tirangi road, in that part nearest to Evans Bay. A more pleasant, suiwy spot would be hard to find in Wellington C'tJ'- The only drawback is the neglect of the City Council to do anything for the comfort or convenience of the residents, luat part of the road which runs past the Tower House from Tirangi road to where the Kilbirme footpath ends is exeeedincJy dangerous to pedestrians, especially to children, there being no footpath. The bitumen road has to be used by all The % motor traffic is somewhat heavy, and'added to this a bluff -of rock juts out (on the ■ pace where the footpath should fie) and obscures the view. Under these circumstances it is a great wonder there has beSi no accident.
