SHORTT'S THEATRE.
In "The Duke Steps Out," a comedy drama which is now being shown at Shortt's Theatre, William Haincs plays the rolo of an ambitious younc amateur boxer who, to be near a girl-who attracts his fancy, goes, to college. His efforts to' hide his profession in the classroom, and to defend his title in a championship bout-eivc rise to-a score of thrills and hilarious situations. Joan Crawford is in the cast. Dor.othy Boyd appears in "Love's Option," which tells of one man's desperate endeavours to ruin another. Many of the scenes are lnld i amidst the South American mines.
