A Ceduna message stales that sixteen 'planes in the air race arrived* but Leggatt in the Curtis Meteor haa withdrawn owing to engine trouble. The pilot Penny met with a mishap on the first stage to Kimba, coming down in the desert. He managed, however, to reach Kimba. Following are the fastest actual flying times from Sydney to Ceduna, 1250 milesa Miller (DH9), 12hr 33min. /-■'■ pc (Havilland (Moth),- 12hr 44 mm. - ' - f Heath (DHSO)j 13hr 7min. Pratt (Moth), 13hr 50min.
