WOMAN'S GREAT DRIVING FEAT

A remarkable feat was accomplished by Mis., Joau Chetwyand, who, driving a Lea Francis car, covered 996 miles in twelve hours at an average speed of 82.97 miles an hour on the Brooklands track yesterday. This beat the record held by Mrs. TJrquhart Dykes, who had made an average speed of 81.3 miles an hour for 12 hours.
During the first three hours Mrs. Chetwyand averaged 86* miles an hour, but the last part of the o drive ' took place in heavy rain ana a bad light.
