WEDDING

Visitors from all parts of Kew Zealand assembled in Christehureh on Tuesday afternoon, when in the picturesque Church of St. Mary's, Merii ale, the interior of which was a bower of spring flowers, palms, and foliage, the i/jarriage was solemnised of Adrienne, older daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Over all hung a veil of Limerick lace, which was worn flat on to the head. The shower bouquet was of gold orchids. The train-bearer, tiheila gilding, wore a frock of white georgette, with a long frill skirt, and a charming lace cap. She carried a basket of pink hyacinths. Three bridesmaids—Miss Phillipa Aeland, Miss Margaret Stevenson, and Miss Nancy Gibson—were dressed alike in frocks of 3>each pink georgette. When Mr. and Mrs. Macfarlane left for ■ heir wedding tour, the bride was weari!g a frock of green and pale cream uoral crepe de chine, closely patterned, Lhe skirt composed of three graduated crystal pleated tiered frills and the f^eoves finished at. : the wrist with a Uared crystal pleated cuff. Her long coat of absinthe green cloth had a deep collar of sable fur and her' hat was of to tone. Mr.' and Mrs. H. D Aeland entertained a large number of quests at their home-on Wednesday ovening m honour of the marriage. The reception rooms were artistically decorated with masses of spring flowers, and -upper was served in the marquee erectott on the lawn.
