A LETTER.
Dear Fairiel,-~-We've got our holidays at last, and yesterday afternoon I went to the inter-college football tournament with black, and gold ribbons flying from my coat.. In the first game, which began at 1.30 p.m., Christ's College played Wanganui College, resulting in.a victory for Wanganui, Bto 3. But the second match was more thrilling, between Wellington and Nelson Colleges. At the beginning of the game I thought Nelson was going to win, but after, a; hard-fought game Wellington College was victorious, ..the score being 6-3. Everybody was making such a noise, crying out, and standing up and jumping with excitement. The noise could bo heard clearly at our house (which is between three-quarters and one mile away). At the end of the games all the captains were chaired ;.nd cheered by their, friends.: Oh, Fairiel,.-, here I am talking all about' this football match, when, you may have seen it yourself. " Did you Fairiel? Well,- good luck to you aud the Fairy King. . Love from. -.•;■■■'■ "LADT'BOWJGNA." Wellington. -.. . :
