LONDON, 31st July.
Italy is sending ten racing seaplanes for a final practice over the Schneider Trophy course in the Solent, and will select the three best performers for the race on 7th September. It is reported that the fastest Italian machines have reached a speed of 360 miles an hour in preliminary trials. One seaplane has engines front and rear, totalling 2000 h.p., the pilot sitting between them.
