BRITAIN'S SACRIFICES
SNOWDEN SAYS MUST STOP.

RUGBY, 26th June: -Mr. Lloyd George, the Liberal Leader, called attention in the House of Commons to the Young Eeport on Eeparatious, and said that Ec was amazed that it should over have been presented to the British Treasury as a fair settlement of the claims of Great Britain.
I Mr. p. Saowden, Chancellor of the Exchequer, m reply, said that the Government was not in any way committed to the acceptance of the Young BeP°n- p realised the difficult task h» would have in approaching the conference and could only say that he would do his best to obtain justice for this country, and whatever the result of the | conference might be, be assured the i House that there would be no further sacrifice of British interests. There was no desire to increase the amount of | annuities which Germany would be called upon to pay. That was one point ia bo a very general agreement, liiero was, however, already a difference of about two hundred millions between what we had paid to America and what we hud received from our Continental debtors. • Under the scheme wo should havo to abandon all hope of ever getting anything, towards that two hundred million arrears.
