MYSTERY OF THE MOA.
A novel field of historical research concerns the moa, the huge flightless bird, now extinct, that once roamed over these isles and was known to the Maoris and Rarotpngaus as To Manii nui a Ruakapanga— the Great Bird of Ruakapanga. Mr. T. Lindsay Buick, the noted New Zealand author, has made a special study of this field, and will lecture to the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Historical Association m Victoria University College on Wednesday evening next, on "The Mystery of the Moa." The lecture is to commence at 8 p.m. All persons interested are invited to attend.
