BOXING.
Everything points to a successful tournament on Monday evening. The services of Dolaney were secured at very short notice, but Uiere has been a continuous demand for tickets, and a full house is assured. The preliminaries arranged are:—Billish v. M'Ghec, Bitossi v. Hawker, Arbuthnot v. Knox, Wlthey v. Pepper. Intending patrons who have not as yet securod tickets should do so beforo the plan closes on Monday afternoon. Followers of tho sport will learn with regret that Donovan will not be seeu in action in Wellington for some time at any rato. Tm3 morning tho following telegram was received by tho secretary of tho association from Donovan: —"Completely broken down. Doctor oredrs two months' spell. Please make other arrangements. Very sorry. Best wishes." In the circumstances, it appears likely that tho tournament arranged ?cr sth August will have to be abandoned.
