COMPENSATION CASE
The Arbitration Court tcwJay heard a claim for compensation by Russell Weekes, carpenter, Wellington, against William John Hartehorne, . contractor. On 12th September, 1928, plaintiffwas assisting to load a .lorry in Lower Taranaki street, and while so employed was .injured, the great toe of his right foot being crushed, in consquence of which he was totally disabled from working for four weeks. Plaintiff claimed 'four weekly payments of £3 13s 4d, £1. medical expenses, and costs.. For the defence, it was denied, that the injury was of such a nature as to disable the plaintiff totally for four weeks.
