MASSED BANDS.
At the Basin Reserve on Sunday afternoon commencing at 2.30 sharp, tho bands of Wellington and the Hutt Valley, will give 'a massed band, display and concert. Tho proceeds aro to be given to the Mayor's earthquake relief fund. The bands will bo divided up into three sections, and will march from various points in tho city to the Reserve, and will give a spectacular marching display, following by a specially selected programme of music. The full programme will bo published in to-morrow's "EvenIng Post." The public of Wellington will thus bo afforded tho opportunity of seeing upwards of three hundred bandsmen marching as one massed band. Collectors will bo on all the routes taken by tho bands, and at the Basin.
