QUESTION OF EVACUATION
STATEMENT IN PAKLIAMENT

BUGBY, 16th July. Asked whether any instructions had been sent to the British Army Headquarters in the Ehine occupation zone as to proposed arrangements for tha evacuation of the occupied territories, the XJnder-Secretary for War, Mr. E. Shinwell, replied that definite instructions could not be issued until a decision had been reached regarding evacuation, but arrangements which would then be necessary had naturally beea considered by the War Office, in conjunction with the General Officer Com-manding-in-chief the British Army on the Ehine. •
