LOADLINE OF SHIPS
REVISION OF RULES

RUGBY, 16th July. In reply to a question in Parliament, the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Graham, said that the statutory rules for finding the position of the load-line on ships, which had been in force since 1890, had been modified from lime to timo in the light of increased experience and the improved construction of ships. A further revision of rules had been undertaken by an expert committee, which is exneeb ed to report very soon. It is proposed to send its report to Dominion and foreign Governments for consideration,
and efforts will be made to secure an international agreement on tho subject of load-line.
