Delegates to the Dftiry Conference, were entertained at a smoke concert last night. There were oVer 300 people present. Dr. Beakes and Messrs. Morton, Grounds, and others, sympathised with the latent possibilities of the North, which. waa destined to become one of the largest dairying producing areas in .the Dominion. Over 90 per. cent, of the delegates were mat ing their first visit, arid were astounds ed to find Whangarei so.np fo date, and farming, development aft advanced ii a district unknown to the majority, of the people in the Dominion. The visits ors were taken for motor excursions to-day. /. • .
