BUS STRIKES LORRY
DRIVER CHARGED IN COURT
,On its way to Lower Hntt last eT6nvag, a Railway bus collided with a stationary motor-lorry in Thorndon Quay about 5.15, as a result of which two women and a small child wer& slightly injured :aad had to receive medical attention, A panel was torn off the bus .door and two: of the vats were destroyed. -.;/-. This morning the driver of the bus, Thomas Cocoran, appeared before Mr. £. Page, S.-.M., in the Magistrate's Court charged with having been in a state of intoxication while in charge of the bus. Her pleaded not guilty. Mr. "W. E. Leicester, who appeared for the defendant, said that Cocoran had apt been before the Court previously; and supported th& application of the police for a remand.
