The Auehoi Shipping Company's steamer Arahura, which left Nelson at 4.30 p.m. yesterday for Westport to take off people who desired to leave the district, encountered a south-west gale on tho voyage, and made slow progress, but she ariived there about 5 o'clock this morning. It is proposed that the vessel shall leave Westport at 9 o'clock to-night for Nelson, taking as ordinary passengers those persons who desire to get away. (By Telegraph.—Piessi Association.)
