LOS ANGELES, 17th June. Johnny Salo, of Passaic, New Jersey, on Sounday night, won the C. C. Pyles transcontinental foot Derby from New York to Los Angeles. His margin of victory over Pete Gavuzzi, a Britishborn Italian, of Liverpool, his nearest competitor, was 3min 59sec.
