LONDON, 17th June.
General Dawes, asked by an inter viewer as to the result of the conver sation with Mr. MacDonald, smilingly remarked: "Neither hope, nor despair." He was extremely satisfied with the conversation, he said. He found the Premier a charming companion and a brilliant man.
