DTJNEDIN, This Day. The public questions committee of the Presbyterian Assembly has passed a resolution reiterating" its opposition to the proposal to permit.the telegraphing of investments to racecourses and the publishing of dividends, on the ground that the change would increase gambling facilities. The committee, maintains that there is no guarantee that bookmakers' activities would be lessened by the use of ' telegrams to courses, and objects to such public utilities being so used. Noting tha.l Parliament will review the Gaming Ao j this session, the committee urges a p eduction of gambling facilities.
