WEDDINGS

A "triple wedding" is such an unusual event in New Zealand that general mterest will be taken in that of tlie Mxsses Eunice, Rowena, and Celina Mekalick, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Valentino Mekalick, of Mangarainarama. The Methodist Church at Pahiatua was naturally crowded with friends and onlookers; haying come from other parts of the Dominion, including about thirty members of the choir of tne Palmerston" North Baptist. Church. One very interesting guest was Mrs. T. Kasnmssen, grandmother of the brides, who is in her 93rd year. The Rev. F. A. Crawshaw, secretary of the Now Zealand Society of the Mission to Lepers, and formerly pastor of the Palmerston North Baptist Church/officiated. Mr; Mekalick is a pastor, of the Baptist Church, and one of the bridegrooms is a local pastor, while the other two are ex-students of the Bible Training Institute, Auckland. Miss Eunice Mekalick was escorted by her father, Rowena by Mr. E. "Weidenbohm (of Dannevirke), and Celina by Mr. F. W. Rasmussen (Palmerston North). At. the organ was Mrs: G. Thompson, also of Palmerston North. .

Eunice was married to Leslie Royden William, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Benseman, of Scotland, and wore a dainty frock of white crepe de chine, trimmeel with brilliants. Sho had- a veil and orange blossoms, ana carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The matron-of-honour was her sister, Mrs. C. Weidonbohm, who was in mauve crepe de. chine -with a hat to match. The bridesmaid, Miss Elsie Houlbrooke, ,was also'in. mauve, with a bandeau of leaves to tone/ Little Enid Reichenbach (Darinevirke)' was flower girl, the best man being Mr. David. Brown (Masterton), and Mr. t». Green (Konini) was groomsman. Rowena Mekalick was rnavried to John Macdonald Tolniie, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Tolmie, of Dannevirke. Tlie bride's frock was of white crepe de chine, with radium lace and brilliants; her veil was fastened with orange blossom?, and her'bouquet was of white chrysanthemums ana fern. The Misses Freda Mekaliek and. Ina Easmussen were bridesmaids, being in mauve and green crepe "de .chine respectively, with leaf bandeaus to tone. Ina Rasmussen was flower girl, Messrs. Hugh Tolmie and Donald Tolmie being best man and groomsmanrespeetively. The third marriage-was celebrated between Celiiia Mekalick and Douglas John Carr, of Palme-rstoh North, eldest son of Mr. and ;Mrs.. JiE, ■.Carr. The bride's. frock was of white: crepe de chme, with panels of radium lace and trimmings^ of ■brilliants-;.-Tier veil and bouquet were like those of her sisters. The bridesmaids, Misses- Ethei Green and Rita Kilf ord, we're in mauve 'and green crepe de chine respectively. The little flower girl was Nan Moriarty. Mr. Cliff Carr was lest .nian, and Mr. K.
