Parliamentary correspondents expect that an excellent idea should be obtainable by Friday morning as to whether Labour's offensive has succeeded, as, despite the largely increased electorate, counting in over two hundred constituencies, in which Labour's efforts are expected to be greatest, will begin immediately polling is ended ( enabling a declaration of the result to be made late at night or early on Friday. Eighteen Ministers, including nine members of Cabinet, are involved iv the results thus announced, among them being Sir Austen and Mr. Neville Chamberlain Mr. Leopold Amery, Sir Arthur Steel-Maitland, Sir W. Joynson Hicks, and there are also several Labour lead- | ers. Eesults in the case of Mr. Baldi™. Mr- J- »• Mac Donald, Mr. Lloyd George, Mr. Churchill, ana Mr. Snowden will be announced on Friday afternoon when practically the remainder I will be published.
