LODGE MEETINGS
SUBURBAN AND COUNTRY SOCIETIES The fortnightly meeting of Lily of the Valley Kebekah Lodge, No. 07, 1.0.0.t'., N.Z., was recently held at Heretaunga, when Sister Mowatt, N.G., presided over a fair attendance. The correspondence was read and disposed of, and several accounts were passed for payment. After the meeting closed a successful dance was held. The fortnightly meeting of Muritai Lodge, No. 113, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was recently held at Knßtbourne, when a good attendance was presided over by the N.G. Several amounts of sick pay, doctors' refunds, etc., were passed "for payment. After the regular business of the lodge was concluded a pleasant evening wan •"per.t playing "000." The fortnightly meeting of Herctaiimta Lodge. No. U.->. 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was hold at I'ctonc last Thursday, Bro. J. Laidluw, X.G., presiding over a good attendance. Sick pay was passed for several brothers. Two new members were initiated. Visitor.--included Bro. Uudkin. P.C.I 1., district secretary, and Bro. Gaidy, P.G., of Bellcvue Lodge. Bro. liudkin gave some interesting facts and figures concerning: the Order, and was accorded a vote of thanks. Business being concluded, the lodge adjourned for cards.
Tli« fortnightly meeting of the Slav of Carteiton Lodge, No. 129. 1.0.0.X., K.Z . was held last Wednesday, JT.G. Bro. Sewcll presiding. He sought the opinion of brothers on (a) Altering the lodge night, and (b) obtaining a new lodge room. With regard to the first matter, the lodge was unauimouß in changing to Monday. When the. second matter came up for discussion it was decided that the funds at present available did not warrant the pnrchasiii" of a. new hall. P.O. Bro. Barrett asked ■that the matter be held over till next lodge night, which was agreed to. Two new members were proposed. Bro. Collerton was appointed Press reporter. One account for medical expenses wan passed for payment. Bro. Foster was welcomed back after his long illness.
