LONDON, Ist May. Scotland Yard and the military authorities arc investigating the disappearance from Buckingham Palace of a Scots Guard sentry, whose absence the- patrolling policeman reported. The Palace precincts were unavailingly searched till daylight broke. The sentry's busby ana rifle were found in Green Park, 200 yards from the Palace. His • bayonet is still missing. The "Daily Mail" points out that a disappearance from a post on the Palace guard is unparalleled in the history of the Army.
