To-day a statoment was issued by Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lioutenant Uhn setting out that they have a full nnd complete answer to the criticisms and innuendoes made about thoir recent flight and forced landing. "Wo owe it to the public to give coinpleto details.- Wo welcome the proposed inquiry. We assure the public wo will do everything in our power to aid tlio committee of inquiry. No words can adequately express our sorrow nt the lors of the two gallant men, Keith Anderson and Bobby Hitchcock. The fact that they wore engaged in rescue work on our behalf makes our sorrow even more poignant."
