Ihc stage ;it the Town Hall has beert specially enlarged for the Victoria University College extravaganza, "G.G.," which will open on Saturday night next, and will bo continued on Monday and Tuesday nights. Clever dialogue and catchy choruses torm the background for the ' inn* making by the big cast of students. Kg* thing has been left to chance by the pro* ducefs. The ballets have been trained b'vi Miss Dorothy Buck along original and humorous lines, and the three "Escapades ■ as the acts have been called, are a riofc from start to finish. Current topics are; turned topsy-turvy. Among the featured will be the "1929 Committee," "The Samboan Melon," "The Ked Army,".. ".Th«* Strike of the HularHula ,Girls," "Tha iiold-up by Aine Grapejuice in Ruiu Kow, and the songs "Fifty ' Thousand Farmers Can't Be Wrong," "Forty^three New Zealand Politicians, and "Plot! Plot! Set the Tiling on Fire.", ilariy ol D. J. Donald's Gilbertian verses liaxe beeii set to specially composed airs by Mr, W. H. Stamton. The producers are Mr. Vryn Evans and Miss Mary Cooley, who have had long experience on the amateur stage. Several well-known amateurs are taking part in the production, xncludinc Misses Edna Purdy.
