RONGOTAI COLLEGE
PARENTS' ASSOCIATION
A most successful social evening and concert was held on Wednesday in the Tuia Hull, Kilbirnie, under the auspices of the Kongotui College Parents' Association. Despite the inclemency ol" the weather, fully 100 parents and guardians attended. Lieutenant-Colonel H. E. A very.' president of the association, was in the chair, and Mr. ]? M. Renneiy together with the staff of the college, was also present. The opening half-hour was devoted to a competition and general conversation, during which Messrs. Hamilton Nimmo and Sons, Ltd., contributed a gramophone recital. Thereafter a varied programme was contributed to by the following:—Songs by Mesdamcs King and Lochore and Mr. W. Binot Brown; character sketches by Miss Seymour; elocutionary items by Mr. Mountjoy. An interesting address was delivered by the college principal, dealing generally with the subject of educational reconstruction. Supper, served on tables in. the upstairs room by the ladies' auxiliary, concluded what was generally agreed to have been a. most enjoyable and profitable evening. '
