The "White Service, handling fruit in Great Britain, Germany, Spain, United States, South Africa, Palestine and South Americ", reporting on the 1928 season, reports the following British receipts of Australian -and New Zealand fruits: — • ' Apples. Southampton 123.803, Hull 27,805, Glasgow 15,632. Avbmnouth 12,283. In addition 52,000 cases of pears were sent, of which 17,409 were received at London and 35.215 at Southampton. Continental shipments were 886,450 cases apples, almost all for Germany, including 55,000 cases of New Zealand apples for Rotterdam, Tasmania sSrfc 12,452 cases to South America,
