The Italian submarine Mameli successfully passed a pressure test, Beating the. world depth record by -caching 117 metres, which is , twelve metres more than the previous record attained last year by a submarine of the Ballilla type. The Mameli, which is sixtyflvo metres long and of 820 tons displacement, was built at tho Taranno shipyards.
