The Press to-day commented favourably on the adoption by the Chamber of Deputies of nine projects, known as "Religious Acts," which arc generally hailed as a triumph which may break tho force of the groups opposing JM. Poincare's Government. The Press asserted that tho anti-clerical attitude of the Eadical Socialist Opposition had proved ineffectual against tho sound majority which the Premier now commands. It predi^ed that in contrast to the recent shaky position of tho Cabinet the passage of the "Eeligious Acts" would demonstrate that the force of the Opposition no longer exists ns a possible check to tho Administration. Most of the comment described the Eadical campaign against the Cabinet as belonging to a regime which already has passed in Franco and which now properly "should be exhibited among the curios of the waxworks."
