HARBOUR SWIM
Another attempt to swim Wellington Harbour is to be made to-morrow, if weather conditions are suitable The swimmer is Miss Lily Copplestone, of Ashburton, who a short time ago made an unsuccessful attempt to swim Cook Strait. Miss Copplestone arrived in Wellington this morning, accompanied by her mother and her manager, Mr. J. F. Hartigan, and is in first-class condition to undertake the arduous swim. If nothing unforseen occurs, she will loavo the Eastbourno Ferry Wharf at 11 o'clock and make a direct line for Eastbourne, where she hopes to arrive early in the afternoon. At various stages during the swim Miss Copplcstone will be paced by prominent local swimmers, including Miss Kathleen Miller. Details of the transport arrangements are published elsewhere in this issue.
