Tliu Gil}' Council last night decided to make the following expenditure a char-go on the tramway renewal fund for the year eliding 31st Jlarcli, 1929, and that a demand bo-made on the renewal fund commissioners accordingly:—Belaying tracks in. ITcatherston street, £SS£)O ISs 4d; Elizabeth street, £1167 3s 7d; Cuba street, £1178 ISs lOd; Eiddiford street, £1982 2s Id; Crawford road, £2782 17s sd; Moxham avenue, £1078 3s 9d; tramcar construction, replacing obsolete cars out of commission, £9000; total, £23,08045.
