HAWKE CUP MIX-UP
EXPLANATION ACCEPTED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHKISTCHUKCH, iifst March. The chairman of the Dominion Cricket Council says, with reference to the lliuvke Cup, that the council has accepted Manawatu's explanation of its inability to piny Havvkes Bay yesterday owing .to the impossibility o£ getting a team together in time. Tho next match will be the holders versus Nelson, at Easter.
