PRIMARY CHAMPIONS

Pupils from twenty-nine of the public schools in the Wellington district aro competing in the eighth annual sports mooting of the Wellington Public Schools Amateur Athletic Association at the Basin .Reserve 10-cluy. Friendly rivalry between the schools lias in the past been very keen, and judging by tho performances put up this morning the meeting will prove one of the most interesting that have yet been held. fcJiuco tho inauguration of tho contests in 1920 tho championship honours have been divided, Newtowu being the only school to secure tho championship more than once. Tho following schools have each succeeded in holding the premier athletic position for one year: Terrace, Clyde Quay, Hataitai, Muritai, and llutt Central.
