Victor Edward Ellis (42), a labourer, was to-day sentenced to three months' imprisonment on. charges of defrauding a firm of solicitors by obtaining 30s by representing that he lost two fingers in an accident. The police said that thu "lost" fingers were bandaged up in the palm of accused's Hand.
