ORIENTAL BAY
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—To even the casual observer the' unpainted band rotunda at Oriental Bay has long since been a grievance, and like* wise a striking contrast to the spick and span residences adorning the waterfront. Not only is the rotunda sadly in need of a coat of paint, but as the result of neglect it is steadily getting into a stete of disrepair. I do not know of any .other city in the Dominion where the municipal authorities would not feature such an attractive marine parade by at least giving due attention to rensonable upkeep, not only in regard to the rotunda mentioned, but also to the surface of the parade itself and the present general appearance of the municipal premises with a frontage to Clyde quay.—l am, etc., 13lh March.
