LONDON, 12th March,
No decision has been yet reached regarding a Regency. It is understood that the Lord Chancellor, with other lega^ advisers of the Crown, is considering the constitutional position.
Official circles comment on the beneficial effect of yesterday's outing on the King's spirits, and it is now believed that if his present progress continues His Majesty will be fit to carry out the duties of signing a dissolution of Parliament and receiving the head of the new Government.
Parties are making a final whipround before tho election. Viscount Younger, the Conservative Party treasurer, appeals to his fellow-members of the Carlton Club to subscribe £100,000 for the fighting fund. He himself is contributing £10,000. The Liberals are well supplied with money. The Labour Party recently received several large donations, and are no longer in financial anxiety. The Conservatives have already arranged to spend £100,000 on the election advertising, and the Liberals £70,000. -
