CHEERFUL OUTLOOK
FINE WEATHER PROBABLE
After a cold night the weather was again' beautifully fine in Wellington this morning, and similar conditions were reported over the Dominion as a whole. A few light showers fell during the night on parts of the East Coast from Gisborne northwards, but otherwise the weather has been fine everywhere. Moderate southerlies have given place to light variable winds. The meteorological situation has not changed since yesterday, and is still dominated by an extensive anti-cyclone which covers New Zealand and the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for light to moderate variable winds, south-easter-lies prevailing in the north and westerlies in the south. A further continuanco of fine weather is still probable.
