RED CROSS ACTIVITIES

THE "STREET DAY" RESJJLT-S,:

lit was disappointing during the week tliSit the wot weather should have provested two picnics arranged by tho Red Cross. One was to have been for they blind folk, and tho other for tho e-N&oldier patients at Porirua Mental Hospital. Rain caused the postpone: meiit of both. On the 19th my husband will reach his BGth birthday, and 18th March isijny S3rd. We have jogged along together for C 7 years. We hope that tlit!« dear blind people will have a pleasant day, and those who arrange things hai^e our best wishes." The society intends to forward a birthday remembrance to each of tho old people. The society tenders grateful tlianks to tliose who provide cars (both firms and private owners), and make these outing's possible.
