From Palmerston North, Pukcrua Bay, and intermediate stations to Wellington (Thorndon) on 10th and 18th March by trains leaving Palmerston 6.58 a.m., Shannon 7.44, Levin. 8.11, Otaki 8.41, Paekakariki 6.10, 7.23, 9.44 a.m. From Masterton, Greytown, Mangaroa, and intermediate stations to Trentham and Wellington (Lambton) by trains leaving Masterton 7.33 a.m. and Greytown 8.0 a.m. Tickets to Lambton will be available for break of journey at Trentham only. Return Fares (Ist and 2nd class), from principal stations: — TO WELLINGTON: From Palmorston North 16s lid, 11s 6d; Shannon 13s 6d, 9s 2d; Levin 11s 7d, 7s lid; Otaki 9s 3d, 6s 4d. Admission to Racecourse is NOT included in special- excursion fares. SPECIAL RACE TICKETS. On 16th and 18th March, Special Return Tickets to Trentham, including admission to Racecourse and available, for day of issue only, will be obtainable at Wellington (Lambton), Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, Petone, and Lower Hutt. Fares: Carriages 6s 6d, seated wagons 4s 6d. These tickets will also be obtainable by race patrons on morning trains (Mauawatu line) on each race day. Freo passes, ordinary and privilege tickets (Press reporters' tickets excepted) will NOT be available by the race trains. Race tickets to Trentham will be issued at Wellington by all trains from 8.47 a.m. until 12.15 p.m. each day and 1.20 p.m. Saturday. Special race trains take passengers for and from Trentham only, and only race tickets will be available by those trains. PALMERSTON NORTH-TRENTHAM RACE CONNECTION. On 16th and 18th March train leaving Palmerston 6.58 a.m., Shannon 7.44, Levin 8.11, Otaki 5.41, Paekakariki 9.44, arrives Wellington (Thorndon) 11.17 a.m., in time to permit passengers to join the 11.26 a.m. Wellington (Lambton)-Trentham race special. Train leaves Trentham 5.14 p.m. on 16th March arrives Lambton 5.58 p.m., permitting passengers to catch train leaving Thorndon 0.7 p.m. for Palmerston North. Train leaving Trentham 4.33 p.m. on 18th March arrives Lambton 5.31-p.m., permitting passengers to catch the J.4U p.m. Thorndon-Palmerston N. tram. On 16th March usual 5.40 p.m. tram from Thorndon will be delayed until 6.7 p.m. for Palmerston North, and will NOI take passengers "for Ngaio, Khandallah, or Johnsonville. Special tram leaves Wellington 5.40 p.m. for Johnsonville. stops where required. WELLINGTON-TRENTIIAiM. Special race trains for Trentham leave Wellington— 16th March: At frequent intervals from 10.0 a.m. to 10.57 a.m., and at 11.20_a.m., with ordinary trains 11.50 a.m., 12.15, and 1.20 p.m. • 18th March: At frequent intervals trora 1010 am. to 10.40 a.m., and at 11.20 a.m., with additional ordinary train at 12.15 p.m. For times from suburban stations see Handbill. , „, . .„ The platform at Lambton Station will be cleared immediately after departure of each race train. Passengers obtaining admission to the platform must travel by first train after they enter station. The special race trains will NO I stop at Kaiwarra or Ngahauranga, nor between Lower Hutt and Trentham. RETURN RACE TRAINS leave Irentham for Wellington— 10th March: At intervals from i.m p.m. to 5.33 p.m. ISth March: At. internals Iroin u.i p.m. to 5.45 p.m. Additional ordinary trains, stopping where required, leave Trentham 4.33 p.m. each day, 5.40 (Saturday), 5.59 p.m. (Monday). Race trains leaving Trentham 5.33 p.m. Saturday and 5.45.p.m. Monday will stop only at Lower Hutt and Petone. MASTERTON-TRENTH AM. Train for Trentham leaves Mastei'tou 7.33 a.m., Carterton 7.56, Greytown S.O, Featherston 8.29, Trentham arrive 10.53 a.m. Usual 4.15 p.m. Wellington-Masterton train stops at Trentham and leaves Trentham 5.27 p.m., Masterton arrive 8.35 p.m. On 16th and 18th MarchUsual 10.13 a.m. Wellington-Upper Hutt train will NOT run.
