KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAIN
WAIEOA, 27th February
A shocking accident occurred near the saleyards shortly after 5 o'clock to-night, when tlio infant son of Mr. R. Munro, a Public Works employee, wandered on the railway lino in front of the homo of his parents. The mother, seeing tho train approaching, rushed out too late to save tho child, both being seriously injured. Tho boy was run over and his arm sovorod. Tho mother was knocked over and takon to hospital. The condition of both is critical.
