A LARGE ATTENDANCE

!' A 'Requiem Mass was offered at the Basilica, .Hill, street, at 9 o'clock this morning for the late Sir Charles Skcrret., The Rev. Father Higgius officiated. The Rev. Father; O'Connor (of the Redemptorist Monastery of St. Gerard, Oriental Bay), the Rev. Father M'Cartby (Superior/of tho Marisfc Mission House),] and the Rev.. Father M'Grath (Marist Mission), assisted in the Sanctuary. Appropriate music was rendered\ by. a select choir, Missi Putnam presiding at tho orgnn. Tho "Dead March" in ; " Saul" was played as the largo congregation filed out -of tho church at.-the close. : ,
