"The Times" states that correspondence weighing just over a hundredweight has been received as a result of the recent plot, and iueludcs 11,000 telegrams from municipalities, workmen's societies, and Army and Navy units; 4500 telegrams from privato individuals, and 1000.from foreigners and Spaniards resident | abroad, which the Government regards as the equivalent of a vote of confidence.
Nevertheless, a communique- admita that tho alarm created by recont evonts continues to arouse, uneasiness, and ia reacting unfavourably on tho stock ex-, ehango and tho minds of millions of good citizens. The commtiniquo issued by the Government containing tho foregoing information is designed to counteract rumours that changes are imminent, which the Government organ "La Nacion" donies thus: "Opposition to tho Dictatorship is impossible, because it enjoys tho nation's and tho King's absoluto confidence. Therefore, it is supreme."
